Singing before she could talk, Alyssa Tess fell in love with performing and songwriting at the young age of 7. Primarily self taught on guitar and piano, Alyssa used these skills to begin writing original songs by the time she was 10. Since then, Alyssa has continued to express herself through song. In high school, she immersed herself in everything musical and was encouraged to use the school’s studio to record some of her early originals. She uses her summers to street perform in Midland and Barrie, ON which has led to her performing at several local festivals such as the Midland Buttertart Festival and Barrie’s Kempenfest. She has also played in many local cafes, restaurants and bars throughout Midland, Barrie and Toronto. Alyssa has been the featured musical entertainment on Rogers Cable TV shows Mr. B and Friends and What’s Good and in 2015, she co-wrote a radio jingle for Springwater Garden Centre.
